David is a former Chief Superintendent having served as a police officer for more than thirty years. Married with two children he has lived in Sheffield since 2013 during which time he has spent several years working as an Immigration Officer, building a small picture-framing business, working at Sheffield College and undertaking voluntary work at his local Library.
David stood for election in May 2021 as the Conservative Candidate for the South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner. He has an understandable interest in working to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour and is a committed public servant, interested in working to solve local problems and improve things for the current and future residents of Stocksbridge and Upper Don. He is particularly concerned to protect and preserve our beautiful countryside, tackle rural crime, encourage active travel and ensure people have the transport to fully engage in everything our community offers.
