Sheffield Conservatives oppose proposals introduced by Sheffield City Council for red lines zones and 12 hour bus lanes on Ecclesall and Abbeydale Roads.
We believe these proposals represent a fundamental threat to local businesses - who rely on deliveries and customers being able to park easily - and is yet another example of Sheffield Council working against businesses rather than with them. It has been clear from the outset that these proposals do not have the support of local businesses, yet the Council has continued to waste time and taxpayers' money on developing the plans. Although a final decision is yet to be made, we believe these plans should have been scrapped long ago.
Ecclesall and Abbeydale Roads are thriving parts of our city and we need Sheffield Council to promote rather than damage that reputation.
