Conservative Policy Forum - Update

Lead by Janet Anber, our Sheffield Conservative Policy Forum (CPF) was re-formed during lockdown and we have now held several virtual discussions and made useful contributions to the development of Party policy.

Discussion Group Held - Racism: Best Way Forward

Recent events in the US and the UK were the focus of a Discussion Group event held on Tuesday 16 June 2020. Eleven Party members from the Sheffield Federation took part in the event which was chaired by David Chinchen, our Candidate for the South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner.

Sheffield Young Conservatives Launched

Sheffield Conservative Policy Forum

This week saw the first meeting (via Zoom) of the newly established Sheffield Conservative Policy Forum. These sessions enable members to contribute to the formation of Conservative Party policy. This month's Forum is seeking views on the response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Police and Crime Commissioner Candidate

David Chinchen has been selected as the Conservative candidate for the South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) election now scheduled for Thursday 6 May 2021. 

Elections Postponed until May 2021

The local Council and Police and Crime Commissioner elections have been postponed due to current threat from restrictions relating to Covid-19. These elections are now scheduled to take place on Thursday 6 May 2021.

New Youth Spokesperson elected

Lewis Chinchen was elected Youth Spokesperson for Sheffield at our AGM in March 2020. Lewis went to Birkdale School, University of Warwick and is now a legal apprentice at a Sheffield law firm.
